Applications : These transformers are use to get
a neutral point and to provide earthing for non
grounding systems eg. When delta connected windings
between two transformers are connected , the system
is not earthed . In such system earthing transformer
provides grounding and provision of protection against
earth faults. These are commonly"inter -star"
or even known as Zig -Zag connected transformers.
Mainly used by Electricity boards, supply undertakings
etc.
